Chinook Country Tourist Association is helping to celebrate Tourism Week in Southwest Alberta. Come join the fun and enjoy an afternoon of activities.

Pheasant hunting is set to get under way on October 15th. Lots of interest is being shown. The Cabins and the Bed & Breakfasts are booked for the first three day, but there are plenty of RV sites available.

In about one month Magrath will triple in size (or more) .. but just for that one single long weekend to celebrate the birth of our town, The Garden City.  On July 28, 2012 (the 4th Saturday in July each year) residents, family and friends of Magrath will celebrate the "24th of July" with a town baseball tournament (Thu-Sat), our annual parade (11am Sat), kids races, outdoor program and displays, beef-on-a-bun dinners, and even fireworks (at dusk on Sat) for a big finish.

You don't want to miss it! Oh, and book your sites early .. it gets very busy and fun  around here about then. Did you catch the link to the Magrath Days Celebration video by John Novotny .. it shows a taste of what it can be like around here on that week in July.
